The begining of a new life...

It all started in April 2001 when i was first hired by Olympic Airways as a Ramp Agent. As i had no previous experience and knowledge of the airline industry, i was very excited about my new occupation and duties. The begining of my career in Olympic was a promising and challenging opportunity full of surprises and 'adventures'. My job was quite demanding and included lots of responsibilities, which were most of the times very stressful and required organising and managing skills.
Throughout my 5 year working experience in Olympic Airways i managed to grasp the core essence of the airline environment. This is quite different and particularly complex compared to any other working environment. Working in the new airport (El.Venizelos) was a great stimulation to begin with. Airport 'community' consists of a small society being part of a bigger one, the one of the Greek society. In this 'community' i learnt to appreciate the hard work and respect team work. Team spirit is the most important feature in this job. It functions like a chain that needs to be solid for a successful and satisfying result to be achieved.
To be continued...
